East Boldre Parish Council now has several volunteer First Aiders

First aiders play a vital role in a local community.  First Aid training has now been successfully run in the village hall for 40 residents.  The parish council is delighted that we now have so many people who are confident using the defibrillators and able to offer basic first aid in the village.  First aid refresher courses will be run each year.

The council is aware that in the event of cardiac arrest the chances of survival increase with the timely application of CPR and the use of the AED.  A 10-minute delay could reduce the survival rate to less than 5%.

We are grateful to have volunteers who will monitor the AEDs on a regular basis.

We are very excited by this initiative which provides a real benefit for our wider community. If you want to be involved and take part in the training please contact the parish clerk.
