The parish council

The Parish Council is the tier of local government closest to the people.  A Parish Council represents the concerns of the local community feeding them back to District and County Councils. It is an elected body made up of local people representing the interests of the community.

East Boldre Parish Council meets on the second Tuesday of every month. The meetings start at 7.00pm in the Village Hall and the parish council welcomes residents to come along.  Agendas and minutes of previous meeting are available on this website.   All meetings are open to the public and press with the public able to speak for a limited time.

East Boldre Parish Council is headed by a chairman and vice-chair and comprises of five other councillors. Councillors work on a voluntary basis and the clerk holds a part-time paid position for administrative duties. Elections are held every four years.
